About This Quote

Each of us is different, and we all need something different. We all have our own individual interests. I, myself, am not a huge reader. I read books but I wouldn’t call myself an avid reader.

I read for something to do on my days off, not because it is my favorite hobby. However, I know someone out there who loves reading books even more than I do. When I was younger my father would give me books for Christmas or birthdays and they would sit on my shelves for years before I finally had time to read them.

These were the only gifts that made it to my house because they weren’t deemed necessary by others in the family. Books are just like that. Some people simply don’t think they are important when in reality they are very important to some people.

When you give someone a book you are not only giving them a gift but also encouraging them to keep working through the difficult times that life can bring into their lives. They will learn from the book and be stronger in the end because of it.
